Human Resource Audits
Organizations are often unaware of the effectiveness of the human resources function. Understanding whether your HR practices are meeting your needs requires a comprehensive review.
COPE conducts human resource audits to identify and clarify needs within the human resource function and highlight non-compliance. The level of study depends on the size of the organization or the resources available. An audit may consist of some or all of the following:
- Review of all human resource functions to determine compatibility with your organization’s strategic goals, including recruitment, employee orientation, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits.
- Review of all employment policies and practices to assess compliance with employment law.
- Analysis of payroll practices and classification of employees as exempt or nonexempt from overtime requirements.
- Analysis of human resources metrics.
- Employee satisfaction and workplace culture survey.
- Interviews with senior leaders.
We can work with your organization to identify the most efficient means of gathering information while not disrupting daily operations. Through a combination of document review, paper or web-based surveys, interviews with senior leadership and staff and on-site observation, we will identify specific human resource management needs. A comprehensive report is provided with recommendations to senior management following the audit.
